Hans Henning Stutz received MSc in Civil Engineering (Geotechnics and Tunnelling) from Ruhr-University in Bochum, 2011. After he started his PhD at Bauhaus University Weimar, he continued at Kiel University and graduated as Dr-Ing. in 2016.
His thesis is entitled Hypoplastic Models for Soil-Structure Interfaces-Modelling and Implementation. After a short Post-Doc at Kiel University he joined Aarhus University as an Assistant Professor in Geotechnical Engineering in March 2018. His main area of expertise include advanced laboratory testing including development of experimental equipment, numerical modelling using hypoplasticity, soil-structur interface behavior and the micro-to-macro behavior of geomaterials.
